Surgery Day!
Friendly neighborhood... Charlotte?
Charlotte, Charlotte, your friendly neighborhood, Charlotte....
Oh yes folks, Charlotte has turned into Spiderman. She loves slides and climbing up them. She climbs on all parts of the play ground. When she is out on the playground she is so fast all you really see is fleeting glimpses of her as you can see from the pictures.

Merry-Go-Round
Here is another museum that we found in Sandusky, Ohio. This is a must for any little girl that you are traveling with. Merry-Go-Round Museum, is a great place for the kids to see and to play. There is actually someone carving and making the different animals right there. This I can honestly say is a lost art form. Too many plastic molds have taken over for good ol' workmanship.
"Brightens" your day
Lately every Sunday I have been biking before the sun comes out. One thing that always gets to me is watching the sun rise. I always stop my bike and take a look. This is what I get to see. It is magnificent every time. When was the last time you woke up early and watched the sun rise. It really "brightens" your day.
"I haven't done that since I have been a kid!"
We recently took a car trip and stayed in a B&B courtesy of Grandmama and Grandpapa, Thank you! Anyway, we learned that you can really get away when you really are not that far away. Staying at a bed and breakfast is a good way to be treated like royalty and you are able to see places you would not normally see.
Our bed and breakfast was in Bellevue, Ohio. Never heard of it? Neither have we until we stayed there. You are in a very nice small town that has a great local farmers market. Fifteen miles away from Cedar Point, Bellevue is a great stopping point for southern tourists.
For the kids Bellevue has the largest train museum in Ohio!
So I would encourage you and your family to find a small town that has some scenery and get out! These local museums need the traffic and they are what is preserving our past for our future! Too many times I have heard... "I haven't done that since I have been a kid"
When you are sitting on your couch on a Sunday afternoon watching TV, get up and go to a local museum or your kids will not be able to say, "I haven't done that since I have been a kid!"

Tasty and Fresh Gimmick
Recently I traveled to Washington D.C. to visit my parents. I saw one of the coolest and tastiest restaurant gimmicks I have ever seen and tasted. This is a fresh guacamole station that they roll up to your table and slice and dice everything right the to give you the freshest guacamole you could possibly have other than putting some avocado and all the other ingredients into your mouth and then chewing to mix.
I would tell any restaurant to start this and I wish more would. It is cheap and so good. If you are in the Northern Virginia / DC area I would suggest going to this Mexican Restaurant, it is well worth it. I can not wait to take Isabella and Charlotte there this weekend when we are visiting, I think they will get a kick out of this.
If you are interested please check out Alto Plaza Restaurant & Lounge, in Centreville, VA.

Go Gahanna! Pet and Kid Friendly
Lately we have been getting out and about utilizing all of what our local area has to offer.
I noticed a park near the house that I have never been to but I always pass, so I took the girls there one day.
What did I find?
Well first off what I was looking for at park for the kids. They loved it. Playgrounds and swings the bit.
But most of the acreage of this park is a completely fenced in Dog Park. It was absolutely amazing! All fenced in, with a smaller fenced in area for smaller dogs if you wanted them to play with other small dogs only! There were time out cages, water for the dogs, jugs to feed your dog water if you happen to forget one.
So if you have kids and/or a dog that need to let lose, I would suggest going to this park located in Gahanna.
Please click on the pictures you will see the the fencing for the dog park in the background. You will notice that Isabella is holding some leaves. Lately whenever she finds some "rainbow" leaves she thinks they are special and will pick them up, until she cannot hold any more. I honestly fear what is going to happen when fall comes if this still is going on.

Round-round, get around, We get around!
Yes folks we have been getting out on the road lately and visiting a lot of friends that we haven't seen in a while. They have been posting to their blogs about us!
Here are some links.
While up visiting Grandma-ma and Grandpa-pa in Michigan, we were able to visit with our friends the Rutherford's. Let me tell you we had a blast. Chris and Libby are all about class and taste... literally! The food was great and I learned a lot from Chris is a furniture designer and soon to be a hold hold environmental specialist. What does that mean? Well he will be able to come into your home and tell you how to save money with your heating and cooling and making your house greener. Anyway, check out their post here.
Then while celebrating our friend Jon Marc's birthday, the Lynch family was there. Check out their post here.
Finally we were over at the Edwards family's beautiful house visiting Colin. Isabella and Charlotte had a great time! Fred did as well, because they brew their own beer in the basement. Yes at any time they have 13... count it thirteen (1-3), beers on tap. All hand crafted right there in the house! One that Nicki tried one where the hops was (were?) grown in the backyard! Check out their post here. If you want to know more information about the brewery please check out, Boathouse Brewery.
Well that is a quick run down of what has been going on lately.
"I get around" reference in the title of this post was a song that we all know from the Beach Boys. Did you know that as of May, that song is 45 years old!
